Free Emergency Alert Radios, or EARs, have been distributed to homes, businesses, schools, churches and other locations in Cleburne County since 2009. EARs are weather alert radios which can be programmed to sound alerts for severe weather, manmade hazards and other risks that could affect Cleburne County. To learn more about weather alert radios, visit the National Weather Service. Funding for the distribution of free EARs was provided by the Chemical Stockpile Emergency Preparedness Program.
