Is taking applications for the position of
Convenience Center Operator
This is a full-time classified position with Retirement, Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance benefits, paid Holidays and PTO, reporting to the Environmental Manager. This position works a Tuesday – Saturday schedule.
Starting Pay: $10.11

Job Qualifications:
Open and closes the convenience centers.
Will operate and maintain the Convenience Center.
Coordinates proper and safe procedures for the ADEM Tire Remediation Program.
Inspects customer loads to ensure no illegal dumping.
Schedules dumpster pick-up.
Minimum Qualifications
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Must be at least 18 years old
Ability to read and write
Basic Math skills
Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to effectively record, deliver and communicate information
Required to discern color

Starting Pay: $14.51

Job Qualifications:
(* Can be acquired on the job)
*Extensive knowledge of the County’s Road Infrastructure and residential locations.
Experience in dealing directly with the public. Ability to lift and load at least 50 pounds three to four feet off the ground repetitiously.
Ability to read and understand compiled data concerning accounts, addresses and accounting figures. Ability to operate a motor vehicle with trailer. Knowledge of standardized business practices. Ability to type. Ability to use a computer for record keeping, preparing correspondence, and sending e-mail.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be able to be insured by the County
Must possess a valid driver’s license
*Knowledge of state and local laws
Must have a clean driving record
Must be at least 18 years old
Required to discern color
Must be able to adapt and perform under stressful environments when confronted with that type of situation.
