Is taking applications for the full-time position of
Commission Office Clerk
This is a position reporting to the
Chief Finance Administrator.
This is a Class 6 position
Pay will be $12.87 per hour
Applications may be filled out at the Personnel Office located in the Mountain Center at: 6751 Hwy 78, Heflin, Alabama, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday until November 22, 2019.
Potential candidates should possess the ability to: complete forms and reports, post accounts, prepare budgets, compose letters and memos, effectively communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and the public in person and over the telephone, operate office machines such as a personal computer, copy machine and adding machine, prepare accurate and complete financial reports and meeting minutes, which includes proficiency in Word and Excel, work independently and exercise good judgment in making decisions. Candidates should have skills in basic accounting, math to add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate percentages.
Three years of experience working in an office, or an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, or any combination of education and experience which provides the necessary qualifications listed above will be considered.
Ability to travel to attend out-of-town seminars and training sessions as required. Ability to work overtime to meet deadlines or attend meetings as required.
