County Finance Clerk

 

This is a position reporting to the

County Administrator.

 

This is a Class 7 position

Pay will be $14.51 per hour

Applications may be filled out online and emailed to lisam@cleburnecounty.us or at the Personnel Office located in the Mountain Center at: 6751 Hwy 78, Heflin, Alabama, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday until Friday May 29th. 

 

Job Qualifications:

Potential candidates should possess the ability to: complete forms and reports, post accounts, prepare budgets, compose letters and memos, effectively communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and the public in person and over the telephone, operate office machines such as a personal computer, copy machine and adding machine, prepare accurate and complete financial reports and meeting minutes, which includes proficiency in Word and Excel, work independently and exercise good judgment in making decisions.  Candidates should have skills in basic accounting, math to add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate percentages. 

 

Other Characteristics:

 

Must have an Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Business, office experience and accounting knowledge.

Ability to travel to attend out-of-town seminars and training sessions as required. Ability to work overtime to meet deadlines or attend meetings as required.

This is a position reporting to the County Administrator.

 

This is a Class 6 position

Pay will be $12.87 per hour

Job Qualifications:

Potential candidates should possess well-developed filing skills and exceptional writing skills. Candidate should possess the ability to: complete forms and reports, post accounts, prepare budgets, compose letters and memos, effectively communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and the public in person and over the telephone, operate office machines such as a personal computer, copy machine and adding machine, prepare accurate and complete financial reports and meeting minutes, which includes proficiency in Word and Excel, work independently and exercise good judgment in making decisions. Candidates should have skills in basic accounting, math to add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate percentages.

 

Other Characteristics:

 

Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent. Three years of experience working in an office, or an Associate’s Degree in Business, or any combination of education and experience which provides the necessary qualifications listed above will be considered.
